BIG Bike Ride to the Island House

Worked my eyeballs over today adding new items to the site. David helped us at the shop and that is always appreciated. We ate spaghetti and turkey meatballs on the deck after work. I decided even though the music was called off we could make it to the Island House as a family on our bikes. Charlie said he was tough enough. We did it. Over 4 miles! Not long after we got home Charlie and I passed out while David was watching a show about golf…Ben Hogan…something boring enough to fall asleep to. I managed a 5 minute sailboat circle for my art today. Still counts!

David drove in from Nashville after a few gigs. We had a beautiful evening. Charlie and I worked on the yard, cleaned, and bought groceries before David came. Feasted on tacos when he arrived and our amazing friends Aundrea and Dick took us on a glorious boat ride when we randomly spotted them down the path. Thankful.

Char’s First 5K And Some More BLAC Logos…

What a day! I woke up at 4AM and started getting the guitar parts orders out so Charlie and I could go walk a 5k along the dam. Pretty crazy the run/walk went past our house! I wasn’t so sure he’d make it but with an ice cream bribe and a little whining we got it done. My high school friends, Jason & Misty, came up and ran the 10k and we had lunch with them after the race. They run races together every weekend and I am so proud of them. Inspiring day. I am sure I want to get healthier and I am going to make it a priority!
